Training School "Moving Goods for Charity" - new dates e new CfA

The Training School "Moving Goods for Charity Across the Mediterranean (15th-19th centuries)", originally planned in January 2022 and postponed due to difficulties caused by the sanitary emergency, has been rescheduled: it will take place in Bologna from 13 to 16 June 2022 at the Centro studi sui Monti di Pietà e sul credito solidaristico.

The Training School, organised in the frame of the Cost Action CA18140 "People in Motion: Entangled Histories of Displacement across the Mediterranean" (PIMo), will host interventions held by an interdisciplinary and international group of scholars and will analyse the multiple links between economy and charity in the Mediterranean area from the fifteenth to the nineteenth century and investigate the material and immaterial goods that formed the bases for institutons in Christian, Jewish and Islamic societies.

The call for applications is open: PhD students and postdoctoral researchers working in the fields of Mediterranean Studies, Economic History, Religious Studies, Late Medieval and Early Modern History, and Material Culture are welcome to apply.

Scholarships are available to cover travel expenses and daily allowance.
