History
The Monte was instituted in 1471, on the initiative of the City Bishop, Bartolomeo Aglioni. It is known to have been operative at least until 1491; later on, all activities ceased. It was reorganized in 1563, behind the initiative of Capuchin Fr. Stefano da Faenza; its management was entrusted to a Confraternity. In 1854, two thefts did the Monte consistent damage. In 1867, it went under the administration of the local Congregazione di Carità. In 1950, it was absorbed by Cassa di Risparmio di Perugia, in the Todi branch.
