History
The Monte was founded in 1577, presumably, given the name, by intervention of the Silvestri family. The administration was entrusted to the Comune, until the institution of Congregazione di Carità. In 1873, the Monte was annexed to Cassa di Risparmio di Serra de 'Conti, maintaining its activity. In 1897, Cassa di Risparmio was liquidated and the administration of the Monte was again entrusted to Congregazione di Carità. In 1901, Congregazione deliberated the transformation of the institute and the donation of its patrimony to the Hospital. The decision became enforceable in July, 1906.
