History
City Council resolution to found a city Monte dates back to 1551, when the first legacies to finance the activity were being gathered. The authorization by the Rangoni, lords of Savignano, came in 1566, the apostolic approval in 1579. In 1581, the Monte began its activity. In the Napoleonic period, the institute experienced a difficult time, forced in 1797 to return all pledges for free. In 1804, the administration was entrusted to Comitato di Pubblica Beneficenza (Committee of public charity), then to the local Congregazione di Carità. In 1961, it was incorporated into Cassa di Risparmio di Cesena.
