History
The foundation of the Monte was decreed by the Comune, following the preaching of Dominican priest Cristoforo, and was made possible thanks to the donation of 120 ducats by Vico di Manuzio, also known as Persechella. The Monte was given in administration to a Franciscan friar, Antonuzzo, and to two nonreligious, appointed by Fra 'Cristoforo. The subsequent developments of the Monte, which was still in operation at the time of the study by Mircoli (1892), are not well known.
