History
The Monte was constituted in 1495, following the preaching of the Franciscan observant Evangelista da Faenza. For almost a century, however, the institute had troubles in growing and it stabilized only towards the end of the sixteenth century, thanks to the intervention of the Countess of Mirandola Fulvia da Correggio, who reformed its statutes, grew its assets, requested the papal approval in 1588 - which was obtained on 10 September 1597 - and introduced loas without interest rates. During the eighteenth century the Monte also worked credit in favour of the commune and the lords of Mirandola. During the nineteenth century the Monte was administered by the local Congregazione di carità, from which it regained its independence in 1937. It was incorporated in the Cassa di risparmio di Mirandola in 1942.

It is not currently possible to define the amount and dating of the Monte's archive, which is now preserved by the Cassa di risparmio di Mirandola, which incorporated the institution in 1942.
