History
The Monte was founded in 1638, by Teofilo Gargani, with a capital of five hundred scudi, increased by another thousand scudi when Gargani died in 1648. The Monte was excluded from concentration in the local Congregazione di Carità, founded in 1875, and continued to be administered by the Municipal Council. In 1908, the Monte appears as completely inactive; the institute was dissolved in 1914, with the assets and income donated to the Hospital of Gallese.
