History
The Monte was founded in 1472 by the Franciscan preacher Fortunato Coppoli da Perugia. Later it was reformed by his confrere Bartolomeo Milvio da Nibbia. It is currently not possible to describe its history in detail. It is however possible to estabilsh 17 August 1928 as the date of the ceasing of its activity, since on this day a royal decree sanctioned the transformation of its assets' purpose.
