History
The foundation of the Monte was promoted in 1585 by Marquises Alfonso and Alessandro Pallavicino. The administration of the institute was joined to that of the Civilian Hospitals in 1828 by Marie Louise, Duchess of Parma. In 1925, the Monte was put into liquidation and the patrimony paid for the Civilian Hospitals.
