History
The town council's deliberation in favour of the erection of the Monte is dated 27 April 1493, a consequence of the preaching of the Franciscan observant Bernardino da Feltre in Castelfranco. The Monte ceased its activity on 21 February 1942, when the conditions of its incorporation in the Cassa di risparmio della Marca trevigiana were defined.

The archive has remained in the same building that, from 1825, had been the Monte's venue and which now hosts the communal library. It is one of the funds aggregated to the communal historical archive.
