History
Pope Gregory XIII granted to the community of Bertinoro the authority to erect the Monte with a brief dated February 16th, 1579. The institute was inaugurated in May of the following year by Bishop Giovanni Andrea Caligari. The Bishop, with the consuls of the Comune, endowed it with the first chapter in 1599. A modification of the statutes was made by Bishop Giovanni Battista Guerra in June, 1841 and then again in 1874. In the same year, the institute was incorporated in the local Congregazione di Carità. By Regio Decreto enacted January 30th, 1941, it was incorporated into Monte di Forlì.
