History
The Monte was founded in 1470. First Statute was produced in December of the same year, by the Elders of the City with Fra' Fortunato from Perugia (Observant Minor); The Monte started its activity the following year. With the establishment of the local Congregazione di Carità, the institute went under its administration and then under that of Ente Comunale di Assistenza (E.C.A.). With Decree of April 22nd, 1941, incorporation of the institute into Monte di credito su pegno di Terni was arranged.

The documentation was found during the reorganization and inventory work of the whole archive of Cassa di Risparmio di Terni (2007-2008). Other documentation relating to the Monte is kept in the funds of the Congregazione di Carità di Amelia and of Ente Comunale di Assistenza (E.C.A.) at Archivio Storico del Comune di Amelia. Also among the documentation produced by these institutions, documentation relating to the Monte is also kept in the historical archive of Azienda USL Umbria 2.
